Moved. What’s Next?
August was an eventful month: a grandchild, an old buddy with whom I lost contact for over 10 years suddenly reappeared and K got her first full time job since her college graduation last year. Could all these be attributable to the barn swallow?
I know very little about birds but I do know that barn swallow means the arrival of spring. It was unusual to see a new barn swallow nest above our front door in late-July. We had in our old house barn swallows nesting on a shed in the backyard; they came every year in spring and left in August/September. My wife used to remind me not to disturb them because she believed that they would bring good luck. I wasn’t’t sure about her “good luck” belief then but I do now.
